Dr. Jacqueline M. Newman edits, and has for nineteen years, the award-winning magazine Flavor and Fortune. It is the first and the only American English-language quarterly about Chinese food and Chinese dietary culture. Her devotion to research and promotion of this dietary culture is well-known world-wide and is the pursuit of a lifetime of efforts, academic and otherwise. ARIF LOHAR is one of Pakistan's most beloved folk singers. Singing contemporary interpretations of traditional Punjabi songs, Lohar captures the sights and sounds of modern Pakistani culture with a unique mix of pop and folk stylings. Lohar plays his beloved chimta, a traditional percussion instrument resembling tongs, and is backed by an ensemble of talented Pakistani musicians. Worldwide, he is among the top Punjabi folk and pop singers.

In a special collaboration, Arif Lohar is joined by talented world music singer-composer AROOJ AFTAB. Her inspired songwriting fuses classical Pakistani and Sufi music traditions with contemporary jazz, folk and pop influences, creating a signature sound that has been described as “indigenous soul.”
